Intra company transfer Work Permits
The Intra Company Transfer policy permits international companies and entrepreneurs to temporarily transfer qualified employees to Canada for the purpose of improving management effectiveness, expanding Canadian trades, and enhancing the competitiveness of Canadian entities in overseas markets. Foreign companies that are establishing or purchasing an affiliate enterprise, branch or subsidiary in Canada may transfer employees in an executive, senior managerial or specialized knowledge capacity to work in the Canadian enterprise under the intra-company transfer program. Approved applicants through the Intra-company transfer program obtain a temporary work permit. Work experience gained as an intra-company transferee in Canada may then be used towards the application of permanent residence in Canada.
