The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program issued 35 invitations to apply for a provincial nomination for permanent residence through its Tech Pilot program on October 24. All candidates issued invitations in the October 24 draw are required to have a one-year full-time job offer in one of the pilot's 29 in-demand occupations. The Tech Pilot was introduced in 2017 to help employers in B.C.'s tech sector fill labour shortages by facilitating access to foreign talent. Express Entry BC candidates who successfully obtain a nomination from BC will be awarded an additional 600 points
